For an extreme changeover you must do a changeover from climb to rappel on rope while blindfolded. To make matters worse, the rope is spinning, swinging, and weighted below with 20 pounds. I apologize for the lack of closure in this video. If you are waiting to see him complete the changeover you will be disappointed. It took almost 20 minutes for him to complete the task so we didn't film the entire time. This was our first attempt at an extreme changeover and was done mainly just to test the concept. For safety considerations in the future, I would advise that anybody attempting to recreate this should place a crash pad underneath the climber to avoid the possibility of any serious injury. This challenge simulates a possible real life scenario where a climber is on rope 285 feet into a climb. A blowout on the main rigging point has occurred up top when a rock shifted, but luckily the backup has held. The rigging failure caused the climber to swing into the wall and his helmet light got smashed. There is no backup light accessible to the climber. The climber now must changeover without a light and rappel to the bottom so that the rigging issue can be resolved up top. Could you do it?

Case packing bottles: http://robot.fanucamerica.com/Products/Robots/picking-and-packing-robots.aspx FANUC America Authorized System Integrator Brenton Engineering specializes in developing end-of-line packaging solutions for a variety of industries. In this video a system comprised of Brenton Engineering’s Series 100 Case Packing frame with four FANUC M-20iA robots make up a case packing solution for continuously moving products. The pucks carrying the product never stop in normal operation to allow for smoother operation. The four FANUC M-20iA robots pick products from the inbound pucks and place them into the moving cases. Each of the FANUC M-20iA robots attend to a fixed area of the puck and case conveyors. Each robot controls the expansion of a specified product tool that is unique to the product type.  The robot’s end-of-arm-tool adjusts to pick bottled product from a pre-positioned matrix of pucks, then collapses the end-of-arm-tooling to form the smaller matrix size necessary for insertion of the product into pre-positioned cases.   The robots use individual “line tracking” control to accurately follow the motion of the pucks and the opened trays/cases during loading. This ensures the bottles are accurately positioned in the trays/cases and allows the tray/case transport to be continuous motion. Each robot is equipped with a coupling device (EOAT changer) that is software controlled and allows the robot to automatically switch to an alternate EOAT when a command signal is issued. This allows the automatic changeover process to be initiated by a signal from the case packer PLC.  Each robot utilizes FANUC’s Collision Guard option for collision detection rather than mechanical clutch mechanism. Additionally, FANUC PickPro Software designates pick assignments for the robot.  This option allows a single robot or multiple robots to be taken out of service while allowing the remaining robots to run at a reduced throughput. The combined loading process of the four robots provides a product throughput of up to 320 bottles per minute and a packed case rate of up to 80 cases per minute. For the latest news across Belize, visit: http://edition.channel5belize.com/ Where the B.D.F. is concerned, the changeover of personnel at the Cadenas Observation Post, using the Sarstoon River as ingress to the remote location, has been unhindered since early May. While that is good news for the military, from a civilian perspective, it’s pretty much the same old, same old. Entry into the Sarstoon, even if it is on Belize’s side of the river, is unimpeded by Guatemalans and their metal sharks.

Guard Mounting, or Changing the Guard, refers to a formal ceremony in which sentries providing ceremonial guard duties at important institutions are relieved by a new batch of sentries. The ceremonies are often elaborate and precisely choreographed. Vikrant Sood points out that this is not the President's Bodyguard but the Madras Engineer Group (MEG). Thanks, Vikrant! We stand corrected - this is the 28th Battalion of Madras Regiment. A ceremonial change of guard is held at the President of India's official place of residence The Rashtrapati Bhavan. The Changing the Guard is generally held every Saturday at 08.00 am (Summer), 10.00am (Winter). The old and new guard consists of a troop from the President's Body Guard (PBG) and another platoon from one of the numerous regiments of the Indian Army. A military band also would be present as an accompaniment. When the New Guard is formed up between the Dominion columns of North Block sentries are nominated and the respective guards are inspected by their officers as the band plays 'Sammaan Guard' (The Honour Guard). Men of the President's Bodyguard consists of the old warrior classes of the Rajputs, Sikhs and the Jats. Recruitment standards are strict and the minimum height is six feet. After the inspection is over, a formal march commences with the band playing "Sher-E-Jawan" (Tiger of a soldier), into the Forecourt of the Rashtrapati Bhavan. The New Guard forms up along with the Old Guard and awaits the formal salutation of "Salami Shastra" (Present Arms) by the latter to the former to formally salute it and signify readiness for change over. Accompanied by the tune "Robinson" handing over of key takes place the Junior Commissioned Officer of the Old and New Guard patrol, symbolizing responsibility of commanders during changeover. Sentries of the Old Guard rejoin and the Junior Commissioned Officers return to their posts. The Old Guard marches off to the tune "Saare Jahan Se Achcha" (Better than any nation). Compliments are paid by the New Guard which assumes charge and the balance of the New Guard marches off along with band playing "Amar Jawan" (Immortal Soldier). PRESIDENT'S BODY GUARD : The President's Bodyguard, raised in 1773, is the senior most Regiment of the Indian Army. It is a Regiment with horses carrying out ceremonial duties for The President. Its officers and men are excellent horsemen, capable tank men and paratroopers. Since Independence, it has seen action in 1962 at Chushul, in 1965 in the Western Theatre, in 1988 in Sri Lanka. The men of the Bodyguard have also served in UN Operations in Somalia, Angola, Sierra Leone and Sudan. A detachment of the President's Body Guard also serves on the highest and coldest battlefield in the world, the Siachen Glacier. The physical standards for recruitment into this elite Regiment are very exacting, six feet being the minimum height for enrolment. The horses also have to be more than 15.2 hands. The men carry both, a lance with a red and white cavalry pennant and a Cavalry sabre. The horses are adorned with shabracks, throat ornaments and white brow bands. A number of Turkish officers posted to Nato have sought asylum in the member state countries where they serve since the failed military coup in July, the secretary general has said. Jens Stoltenberg said he would travel to Istanbul for talks on Sunday, his second visit to Turkey since September, when he sought to reassure Ankara of Nato’s support after the attempted coup. “Some Turkish officers working in Nato command structure … have requested asylum in the countries where they are working,” Stoltenberg told a conference in Brussels. The issue would be assessed and decided by the countries involved, he said. He did not name the countries. “We have seen a number of changeovers in the Nato command structure where Turkish personnel has been changed,” Stoltenberg said. “I expect Turkey to fill all its posts at the Nato command structure..

Not quite Buckingham Palace, but our own version that's fast developing... Note the quick burst of "The Keel Row" at 04:56 and then "Auld Lang Syne" at the end, after the Indian National Anthem. The Change of Guard is a military tradition the origins of which are deeply rooted in the past. From time immemorial, guards and sentries at palaces, forts and defence establishments have been changed at regular intervals to enable a fresh body of troops take charge. A ceremonial change of guard is held at the official place of residence of the President of India or The Rashtrapati Bhavan. The old and fresh guard consists of troops from the President's Body Guard or the PBG) and another squad from one of the numerous regiments of the Indian Army. A military band is also present and performs at the event. The change of Guard ceremony at the Rashtrapati Bhavan was first opened to the public in the year 2007. After the assumption of office by the current President, Shri Pranab Mukherjee, the ceremony has been reconditioned and relocated to make it more visually appealing and people friendly. A horse-riding display by the Presidents' Body Guard has been added to the ceremony and the venue has been shifted to the Forecourt of the Rashtrapati Bhavan, to grant easier access to the public. The equestrian or horse riding display presents the horse and man in ceremonial regalia, performing in harmony with the music of a military brass band. The 30 minute ceremony commences with the PBG troops, astride their caparisoned, sleekly muscled, powerful and well groomed horses advancing from behind the Jaipur column to the tune of 'Maa Tujhe Salaam' played by the Army Brass Band. The Army Guard contingent then marches in and the new guard replaces the old guard. Once the New Guard has formed between the Dominion columns of the North Block, sentries are nominated and the respective guards are inspected by their officers as the band plays 'Sammaan Guard' or The Honour Guard. The New Guard forms up along with the Old Guard and awaits the formal salutation of "Salami Shastra" or Presentation of Arms by the latter to the former to formally signify readiness for the change-over. Accompanied by music, the handing over of keys is performed by the Junior Commissioned Officers of the Old and New Guard patrol, symbolizing transfer of responsibility of commanders during this changeover. The men of the President's Bodyguard consist of the old warrior classes of the Rajputs, Sikhs and the Jats. Recruitment standards are strict and the minimum height requirement for the troops is six feet. The sentries of the Old Guard and the Junior Commissioned Officers return to their posts. The Old Guard marches off to the tune "Saare Jahan Se Achcha". The New Guard assumes charge and the rest of the of the troops march off while the band plays "Amar Jawan" or Immortal Soldier. The day's ceremony ends with an equestrian display by the PBG before they ride away towards the Rashtrapati Bhavan to the tune of the National Anthem. The Change of the Guard at the Rashtrapati Bhavan is a colourful and regal spectacle which involves great pageantry. The ceremony lasts for about 30 minutes and has been popular with visitors to New Delhi. This ceremony is something that every proud Indian as well as a person from any other nationality who wants to see a regal and awe-inspiring India truly must experience at least once in a lifetime. This footage is part of the professionally-shot broadcast stock footage archive of Wilderness Films India Ltd., the largest collection of HD imagery from South Asia.
